My husband has been snoring for over 20 years. That means I often don’t get a good night’s sleep. For the past week, he has been wearing this neck support daily. It corrects the position of his neck, stopping him from snoring, and finally allowing me to sleep peacefully. One of his best purchases!

Frequently Asked Questions about the 2-in-1 CPAP/APAP R20A machine

Where to buy a CPAP machine?

The best place to buy a CPAP machine in Canada is the BeC CPAP online store. We offer a wide selection of Health Canada–approved CPAP and APAP devices, including the innovative 2-in-1 CPAP/APAP R20A machine.

At BeC CPAP, you can order your device without a prescription, sleep study, or referral, and enjoy fast, free delivery anywhere in Canada, including Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Our team provides expert guidance and customer support to help you choose the right machine and start your therapy with confidence.

In Canada, a prescription based on a sleep study is usually required for most CPAP devices to ensure the pressure settings are right for your needs. However, at BeC CPAP, you can conveniently order the 2-in-1 CPAP/APAP R20A machine without a prescription, sleep study, or referral.

Availability may vary across provinces due to local regulations and supplier policies — but with BeC CPAP, that’s not a problem. Simply click “Buy” and get your Health Canada–licensed CPAP + APAP machine delivered directly to you.

You can buy a CPAP machine from authorized medical suppliers, sleep clinics, or directly from the BeC CPAP online store. We offer fast, free delivery in Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area, and across Canada. All our CPAP and APAP devices are Health Canada–approved and can be easily ordered online, with professional support available to help you choose the right machine for your needs.

The “4-hour rule” refers to using your CPAP machine for at least four hours per night on 70% of nights within a 30-day period. This standard is often used by insurance providers to verify compliance and ensure effective treatment. Consistent use beyond four hours typically results in better sleep quality and improved health outcomes.

In Canada, the cost of a new CPAP machine typically ranges between $800 and $2,000 CAD, depending on the model, features, and included accessories such as a humidifier or heated tubing. Some insurance plans or provincial health programs may cover part of the cost.

An APAP (Automatic Positive Airway Pressure) machine automatically adjusts air pressure throughout the night based on your breathing patterns. Unlike a CPAP, which delivers a fixed pressure, an APAP provides variable support, ensuring maximum comfort and effective treatment even when your needs change.

If your sleep apnea has been diagnosed through a sleep study and your required air pressure remains consistent throughout the night, a CPAP machine is usually the best choice. It provides a steady, prescribed pressure that keeps your airway open and ensures reliable therapy results.

However, if your breathing patterns or pressure needs change during sleep — for example, if you sleep in different positions, experience nasal congestion, or have varying apnea severity — an APAP machine may be better. APAP (Automatic Positive Airway Pressure) devices automatically adjust pressure levels in real time to match your breathing, offering greater comfort and flexibility without manual recalibration.

If you’re uncertain, our BeC CPAP specialists can help you determine whether a CPAP or APAP device — such as the 2-in-1 CPAP/APAP R20A machine — is the right fit for your condition and lifestyle.

Yes. APAP machines are just as effective as CPAP machines for most people with obstructive sleep apnea. In fact, many users find APAP therapy more comfortable because it automatically adjusts pressure based on real-time breathing changes.

The 2-in-1 BeC CPAP/APAP R20A machine offers both CPAP and APAP modes, allowing you to switch between fixed and auto-adjusting pressure settings. While this flexibility is convenient, most Canadian provinces require a prescription for CPAP or APAP devices. You should consult your doctor or a licensed sleep specialist before purchasing to ensure safe and effective use.
